Gale

So yesterday was my Uncle Gale's funeral.

We showed up right on time and were seated immediately. All the way there I was holding back the flooding tears. And when they started to play that wonderful song, "I can only Imagine" the flood gates were opened. Even tho I didn't know my uncle incredibly well, it was just so overwhelming. He's a loved one and thats all that matters.
My cousin, Kyle, preached a great message. A few more songs were played. Then we had a sharing time of memories of who he was and being with him. The last time I saw him was in April.

We were at my aunts house for a family reunion and all my family members and I were exchanging hugs and I didn't even notice him sitting in the corner when he rubbed my back and said, "well, do I get a hug" In turn I didn't even say anything but gave him the biggest hug I had in me.

After the ceremony we were escorted 45mins to the cemetery and when we got there my cousin preached a few more words, then, because my uncle served in the national guard, they shot off 3blank rounds, that by the way , scared the day lights out of me; and then we left and went to my aunts house and had a wonderful time. Saw a lot of family I haven't seen for years. Served my uncles favorite foods, including taco's and doughnuts. ;)

He was the most patient, loving, funniest person I knew.
And I was thinking, you know, he died right before Christmas, how sad, but then God said to me,
yes, I took him home early, but he got the greatest gift of all and he is now in paradise with me. No more sorrow, no more pain, trials or doctor visits. He's with the Lord now and thats the best place to be.

I had to share this because he was really special and I really loved him.

God Bless,
Mandie

May you all have a very blessed special Merry Christmas!

Glendale Glitters Christmas Recital

Last night was the Christmas recital at Glendale Glitters. Every year my teacher gets invited to bring all her singers to sing there. And its always so much fun!

We started rehearsing in September! Yes, that early. It paid off. This year was just a bit different tho, she did have one of her talented pianist come to play a piano piece. I felt his pain as he sat at the piano Thur. night trying so hard to play his song with all these distracting noisy girls! haha But he did very good. We must have ran the program 30times before calling it a night.

Yesterday was the big day! We had to be backstage at 5pm sharp. Then we had to wait for Lori to get there to hand out our passes so the Security guards could let us in(ok, they really were nice tho!). It went by sooo fast! I'm sad its already over.
It was very hard to keep all the girls quiet while the other singers were on stage. Some of those girls are very obnoxious and bratty! The only time they obeyed was when Marshal was in charge. Oh well!

Quite a few little girl groups went before it was out turn to go on stage. Here is the first song we sang(not all of my group, actually, 4 of these girls aren't even in my group hehe).
Me, Emily, Ally, Karlie, Erin and Julia. Then right after us Tiffany and Rachel sang Silver Bells. I LOVE their voices. So pretty.

The second song we sang was, yes, Santa Baby. I was so nervous about singing this song because we have never had a boy dresses as 'santa clause' gawk at us while singing! But we were fine. If you want to watch, here is the link, http://www.youtube.com/user/AmandaN93/u/7/--571VeQejI
Anyways, despite my nervousness and my horrible cold, I think I did pretty darn well! ;)
And here is the Peace, Peace, Peace song that the whole group got to sing. :)

It was a great success! Now, I will say that after us a group of elderly women came to do an act after us and kudos to them for getting up there and being active etc. But, the way they dressed so not right even if you are 80 and don't care(yes, they ranged anywhere from 65-80). So anyways, Emily and I were in the bathroom fixing up before going out and this lady comes in, in her skimpy outfit and her stick body and says " you guys did such a wonderful job, such lovely voices!, now, just think keep this up and one day you can look just like me!" No thanks, I'm good. It was gross.
Here are a few fun shots! Rachel and Madison

Stephen and Joah

Emily, Erin and Karlie being goof balls! haha

Abby, Emilee and Rachel
And one last one, not my favorite, but its pretty much the only shot we got together, Em and I. :)
Sorry this is sooo long, but I had to get it all in. haha

Random fact: I'm wondering how long its gonna take to get this glitter spray outta my hair.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I know, a little early. But Better now than never! ;)

We'll be super busy these next few days(and weeks!), so I won't have time to be on the computer much at all. I just wanted to update a bit, real quick.

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays out of all of them. And I got to think'n a few days ago-actually, this is something thats always been the obv.- This day is set apart for more then just silly super-bowl games and laughing and eating until we burst(Not that I ever do) like the world has made it out to be, its about remembering those who came to America and what they made this nation to be(or what it was) and what they came for- 'a better life', to worship Christ freely and being thankful for that. And giving thanks for everything.

Some of the things I am thankful for:
Being placed by God in a Godly home.
To have been homeschooled. haha
A roof over our heads.
My family.
My amazing friends.
To be able to worship Christ Jesus freely.
The Bible.
To be able to play the piano. If it weren't for my aunt, I'd never have discovered it.
Books. Because I love them.
And, music. And a lot lot more that I just can't think of, but I placed the most important. ;)

Like I said, we'll be busy here for the next few weeks. I have a GGCR coming up in two weeks!! Exciting! And the regular shabang that comes with the holidays. :)

Hope you all have a blessed week.

Verse~Psalm 107 1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good;
his love endures forever.

Random fact: God has blessed me with so many wonderful friends that we all are able to encourage each other and can just have a great time with, but if I had to choose a day with one or the other, it'd be my mom. Because she's the bestest friend anyone could have. And she always blesses me with tips on how to do things and teaches me how to be a great 'homemaker'. :)

Oh, Ill also be putting up a Christmas playlist in a few weeks. So, look for it. :)

God Bless

When writers give you books, read 'em! :)

With all do exceptions, of course!

I have been reading A LOT lately. And tho life never slows down, I find time.
Have any of you heard of the lamplighter book, The Wide Wide World? (there are two vlms.) That book(more like novel) was a good read! It took me two months to read it, but only because I was soooo busy. Usually only takes me two days to read a good sized book. I won't tell you what its about , or what happens (just encase you haven't read the book, but if you have, lets elaborate together:)) But what I will say is that this book really shows and teaches you how to deal with trials and losses and whom to go to when you are(God). its a really good book. I only cried once, but it was a satisfactory cry. haha!

Read "Seeing the invisible~Being aware of Gods presence" Uhm, can I just say that book was absolutely a blessing and soo good! By Mari Irwin.

Then I read A Walk To Remember.Emily let me barrow that one, I got it from her Tues. afternoon, and finished it last night(wed. the 3rd) She was so surprised to hear I had finished it so fast! haha it was just so good. Sad, happy, and at times made me so vexed, but in the end it was really good.

Working on Hines feet for high places and So Much More right now.
Rest your little hearts, I am reading my bible everyday more then my books aswell! ;)

And its that time of year again! I love the holidays, baking, social gatherings with all your loved ones, baking parties, thanksgiving, going up to the rim to pick out a Christmas tree, ornaments exchanges with family, AND friends. Remembering and esp, taking time to thank God for all the wonderful things He blesses us with in life. I just love it! :)

Well, I won't bore y'all anymore. Hope your all doing well.

Random Fact: I am absolutely obsessed with Kyle Landry's piano covers/songs he writes himself. I have printed off several of his songs to learn for myself! haha If your curious enough, here is link to his youtube....http://www.youtube.com/user/kylelandry

Prayer Request.

Hey guys!

*Update Edit*
The surgery went really well! He will probably be there for 2/3 days with a draining tube in his neck to let all the fluids drain out. And they will see where to go from there. I would post before/after pics, but Ill let him do that if he wants. He is doing good, starving(hasn't eaten for 30hrs) but good. Thanks for your prayers! :)

Could you all please pray for Micah?
For the past few weeks he has had a swollen lump type thing on his neck and yesterday he went to get a CTscan and then to our pediatrician. Yesterday evening he was admitted to PCH. This swollen lump is MRSA on his lymph node. Which, is located right under the jaw area. Not sure how long he will be there. But, he is sick and tired of being in and out of the hospital all the time and always having to deal with the mrsa junk. So, could I just ask prayer that he heals nice and quick and that God will give the docs. wisdom on how to deal with this and that it will be a short stay?!
They are getting ready to prep him for surgery here in just a bit.
He appreciates any prayers!

Thanks!

October

October starts the birthday phenomenon, it contains 5(family) birthdays, and 3(friend) birthdays(that I am aware of.) It also brings in my favorite time of year, Autumn. Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, pumpkin pie making(and lets not forget pumpkin spice lattes :D) Crunchy leaves, bon fires, hay rides, well, I could go on for hours. Some of my favorite memories are because of Fall. I won't go into dets. but, you get the gist.:)

To start, the 1st was Zac's 20th birthday, TWENTY!!!! Holy cow. I was thinking, in thirty years, Ill be 47. Scurrryyy. I feel so old. lol jk We celebrated by going out to a late lunch, early dinner...linner. ;) Tradition in our family is, you either pick where you want to eat for dinner, (or if you'd rather a home made meal, thats great too!) or a favorite breakfast. He chose Red Robbin, after that we came home and watched a movie and just visited..well, some of us! lol That concludes the 1st family bday.

The 2nd was my friend Ian's 17th birthday. I went, had a fantastic time. I especially enjoyed catching up with his parents! haha (first friend birthday)

The 3rd was Grandmas bday. So thankful to God that she is still here with all her health problems and what-not. Love her!

The 10th is Micah's 15th!! Blah! He is getting so old(and, might I add, tall as well?!) He's pretty much a super amazing brother. To put it short, at birth Micah almost didn't make it, not even from the beginning, but he is here, sick or well, he is here. No one can have him! haha

The 11th is Joah's 8th birthday. Aww. He has gotten so big. I still remember the day he was born. And, going in to see him for the very first time. He's our little angel, long story behind that. haha
Not sure what we are going to do for M's and J's birthday yet, but it should be good!
There are two other friend bday's after them. Zac refuses to let me put a pic up of him, so, yeah.
Then, the 15th is my daddies birthday!! :))
I have the most amazing dad in all the world, I thank God for him everyday, and that he chose to raise us up in a Godly manner, and at home! :)
So! Today we went to the Tolmacoff farm for a family outing and to 'pick' our pumpkin(s)..they wanted $7 per PERSON to get in, thats just to get in. Did not include rides, petting zoo, corn maze or anything. Just to get in. HAHA! What a joke! Aaah, I miss Crow Dairy Farm, and The Dunkin Family Farm. So, we came home and just rested. Started searching for farms that are reasonably priced and such. Found two so far. A bit of a drive, but worth it I'm sure. (tho nothing beats the farms I stated above).
Who enjoyed the rain/hail/thunder all that jazz the other day? Whoot!! I know I did! haha My friend said he got pine cone sized hail in his neck of the woods(Paradise valley). Crazy. Gee, there goes that global warming again! (jk, ;))
Just thought I'd update. Hope everyone is doing well!

Verse:Romans15:13~May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Week-end from my point of view:)

Last weekend was Family Camp. It was fun, good sermons, very important sermons at that.
My last 3posts have been lengthy so, Ill make this short and sweet...well the talking part anyways :)
Fri.~we left at 945, which, is early for us, had to make some stops, like, getting gas, and filling our tires, etc. We took the 17 this time, instead of the back way, but somehow I still got super car sick. :/
Got there unpacked, and went to the Archery, which I did on Sat. but, I was there Fri. to take pics. ;) Friday was a good day over all. I went to bed at 8 didn't fall asleep till 2cuz of some giddy girls. ;)
Sat~was HOT. Thats all I have to say about it. haha During free time my family, the Crawlee's(that how you spell their name?) the Rights, and the R's went fishing...oh and Matt too. All we caught was a transitioning tadpole, Ill get to that later. After fishing, I did archery, after that I hung out with Hayley, love that girl, after that it was dinner, after that was Chapel, after that was the bonfire, after that was, yes, Capture The Flag. Somehow I got pulled into playing by Brook, thats ok, we were Prison guards and only had to "guard" Josh And Zane. I went to bed at 10.
Sun~Church, packed up and left. haha I really didn't socialize a whole lot with any of the girls, except Hayley and the Crawlee girls. I 'hung' out a lot with a lot of the older people, and the guys. Not intentionally. It really was a good weekend. Pictures....

Gotta go.

Random Fact: I give you two, first is, I hate clicks. If you don't get the gist of that, read above again. Two, if my hair grew like my Nails, I'd be one happy girl.

The Gift Of Friendship

Its a wonderful thing! If God didn't give me the friends I have, I don't know where I'd be. I have many, but the one that has had a major impact on my life lately is my dear friend Kristi. In the beginning of last month we began to really get into some deep conversations(about our spiritual life) and how are we really living our lives for Christ?! And our spiritual battles. :Daily walk with God, how are we honoring our parents and others, etc. I won't go into much detail....
But, what we decided is that each day we would send each other a text(easiest way to communicate without having to worry bout getting on the comp or whatever everyday.) with a verse and a prayer. Then about every few days check in on each other and ask how we're doing and if there is any specific prayer requests. Its really helped, let me tell you.

And we both got to thinking, how many times a day do we say, 'I don't have time to read my bible' but yet we have time to do other leisure things. How often do we go by and by without thinking about him, yet, we go thinking about so many other things. Pointless things at that! How often do we push him aside? For me, too often. I often times don't serve Him at all, think about Him, Pray to Him, give Him the praise, thank Him for the day. I always get this tugging in my heart from God, always reminding me to do X, and Him convicting me of my wrong.
I ashamedly go days without even picking up my bible. Thats another thing we got to talking about, as well. Not reading our bibles. We both decided to kinda hold each other accountable I guess you could say. Glad God brought her into my life.

He wants to have a personal relationship with us. He instructs us to do so. I fail a lot. He calls, how often do we hear? He wants our hearts, our everything. I have a fear that only God knows, and I have to get over this fear and its so hard not to give it over to Him. I try and pray and ask for His help for me to give it to Him, and He does, but the stinkin devil attacks me all the time!

Our God is a gracious God. And I'm so glad He chooses to give us a new day, and a 'second chance' to serve Him better and love Him more everyday. As of late, I can't help but stop and look around me, at His beauty and His amazingness. And thanking Him for the new day.

I have many other friends that we all really hold each other accountable and get into the same conversations and just are in awe of how much we don't do these things. and 'cry on the shoulder' etc. but, Kristi has been a super friend lately.
Now, not to say that I depend only on my friends for conviction, nor do I give them half the credit I do my parents for my growing spiritual walk. But God does instruct us to have friends, right!? :)

So thanks to God for my amazing friends. Including all of you, my readers. I love you all too, don't forget that! :)

The sun is setting, and it is time for me to go.

God Bless,
Amanda

I'm not even sure how to title this...

Ok, so yesterday was anthem auditions. Had to get up and 6am to be there at my teachers house at 7:45. Anyways, we warmed up and then headed for the USA airways(btw, you get to know girls way better than you thought you knew them when riding together. haha), Karlie, Emily, Julia, Melody, Erin and me all in one car. It was quite crammed. Then the rest in Lori and some other ladies car(s). When we got there we signed in and what-not and watched other auditioners(is that a word?) A lot were really good, but went over the two min. time limit so they were automatically eliminated. We finally after watching at least 20ppl went outside to warm up. The funniest part about that day was, there were three ladies there(to audition) dressed in black dresses, black shoes white mid-gloves, their hair was arranged like Lucy and Ethel, and each one had two HUGE purple flowers arranged on each side of their head, when we went out to warm up Lori says "Did you see those purple ladies!!? talk about hilarious!!" Yeah, they were right behind Lori. It was hilarious.

Went in sang and we were interviewed on ch. 15news!!! Yes, we were on ch. 15 and 3. Bailey and Emilee were interviewed but, the camera guy did a head wave shot of us all. it was pretty cool. oh, and some of the girls got newspaper interviews so, they might be in there. lol

Tiffany, Karlie and Bri did solo tryouts, Tiffany Bailey and Karli did a trio and Tiffany and Bri did a duet. When we got there, there were four people, when we left there were at least 80. And we left at lunch so I can only imagine the number they got after that. 7am to 7pm. Long day for them.

So after much bonding with a lot of the girls, picture taking, getting in trouble for taking pictures, Making fun of the news reporter dudes wearing make up, laughing at "Abraham Lincoln, and Lori, Mr. Ziemer(karlies dad) and Mrs. Ashworth getting parking tickets, and much rage bout that we finally left. It was a long morning. Lori says she has a really good feeling about the group number. Not sure when we will find out whether or not we made it. But it was way fun and a good experience! :)

Random Fact: One of my favorite things to do, is ice skate!(tho, its rare I get to)

History Behind The Music

If your a History nut like me, then I think you'll like this.

We have owned this CD titled 'Hymns Ancient and Modern {Passion} and I never realized but, with each song in the cover book, it gives the History of the song, whom wrote it, etc. Most of them, we all know really well, but if I come across one that seems like it might not be that well known, I will link the lyrics. :) let me know if you guys find this of any interest?? :))
Its really interesting.

O Worship The King~ Original lyrics by Robert Grant, 1833 ( Reworking of earlier lyrics written by William Kethe, 1561)
Born in England, Robert Grant moved at age 6 to India where his father headed the East India Company. He returned to England to study at Cambridge and was knighted in 1834, about the time of the hymns writing. As Grant studied Psalm 104, he penned one of the greatest of all Christian Hymns. He returned to India as Governor of Bombay and died there in 1838.

Doxology~ Lyrics by Thomas Ken, 1674
The lyrics to the Doxology are the last verse of the hymn "Awake, My Soul, And With The Sun."
Thomas ken wrote three hymns for the devotional use of the boys at Winchester College, where he was chaplain. The hymns were among the first in England, written at a time when the established church believed only Scripture should be sung as hymns. Some considered it sinful and blasphemous to write new lyrics for church music, akin to adding to the Scritures. Ironically, the last stanza of each hymn is the same and has come into widespread use as the Doxology, perhaps the most frequantly used piece of music in public worship.

Joyful, Joyful, We Adore Thee~ Lyrics by Henry Jackson van Dyke, 1907
Henry can Dyke composed this hymn in 1907, while speaking at Williams College in Massachusetts, inspired by the nearby Berkshire Mountains. When later asked about the hymn, he replied, "These verses are simple expressions of common Christian feelings and desires in this present time - hymns of today that may be sung together by people who know the thought of the age, and are not afraid that any truth of science will destroy religion, or any revolution on earth overthrow the Kingdom of heaven."

Praise To The Lord, The Almighty~ Lyrics by Joachim Neander, 1680
This song was translated for German to English by Catherine Winkworth, 1863
Though the descendant of generations of preachers, Joachim was a rebellious young man who, at 20, joined a group of students who gathered to ridicule and scoff the worshipers at St. Martins Church in Bremen, Germany. But, the sermon that day arrested and convicted him, leading to his conversion, and he later became the assistant preacher at the very same church. Joachim penned this hymn at age 30- the year he died- while battling tuberculosis.

Father Let Me Dedicate(btw, I absolutely LOVE this song.) ~ Lyrics by Lawrence Tuttiett, 1864
Tuttiett wrote this hymn while vicar of lea Marston, Warwickshire, England. He wrote many poems, devotional and theological books, but is better known for his hymns, the most well known being this one. John Julian in his work, Dictionary of Hymnology, states "Mr. Tuttiett's hymns are characterized by smoothness of rhythm, direction of aim, simplicity of language, and deep earnestness. Those for special services and seasons are of great merit."

How Great Thou Art~ Original lyrics by Carl Boberg, 1886
English translation and 4th verse by Stuart K. Hine, 1953 Original music, Swedish Folk Melody, O store Gud.
In 1886, Swedish pastor, Carl Boberg, then 26, composed the nine original stanzas as a poem, O store Gud, or "O Mighty God" In time, the poem was translated into German and Russian and was noticed by a British missionary who was serving in Ukraine. That missionary, Reverend Stuart K. Hine, was visiting a home in the Carpathian Mountains near the Polish border when he found a Christian by the name of Dimitri and his wife. Almost by chance, a Bible had fallen into their hands, but no one in the village, save Dimitri's wife, had learned how to read, and she only with the greatest of effort. As she slowly spelled out the wonderful words of John 3:16 to the wondering villagers, tears began to flow, and one by one they dropped to their knees, crying aloud to God. Twelve of these villagers had been truly converted, and it was these believing disciples that Mr. Hine met when he called at the cottage in the mountains that day. He arrived just in time to hear them crying out in amazement again at the revelation of God's love at Calvary.
Under the inspiration of the blessed scene, he wrote, "And when I think that God, His son not sparing, sent Him to die, I scarce can take it in; that on the Cross, my burden gladly bearing, He bled and died to take away my sin....Then sings my soul, my Savior God, to Thee, How great tho art! How great tho art!"

Raise Up The Crow(All Hail The Power Of Jesus Name)~ Original lyrics by Edward Perronet, 1779
(Last verse added by John Rippon in 1787)
This song was first published (verse one only) anonymously in 1779, and again in 1780 with eight verses under the title, "On the resurrection, the Lord is King". A dozen years later it was attributed to Perronet. Though Perronet traveled with the Wesley's for a season, he eventually parted ways to pastor a small church in Canterbury where he died in 1792. His last recorded words are : "Glory to God in the height of His divinity! Glory to God in the depth of His humanity! Glory to God in His all-sufficiency! Into His hands I commend my spirit".

All Creatures Of Our God And King~ Lyrics by Francis of Assisi, ca. 1225
Founder of the Franciscan Order, Assisi spurned the noble lifestyle his upbringing afforded him, choosing a simple and humble life of devotion to Christ. In Sep. 1225, Francis composes this hymn in a poetic masterpiece called "Canticle of the Sun." At the time, he was almost completely blind, worn frail by years of laborious toil. Thirteen months later Francis died. Desiring to show he had nothing in common with the world, he removed habit and lay on the bare ground, covered only with a borrowed cloth, rejoicing that he was able to keep the faith with "Lady Poverty" to the end.
Though written in 1225, an English version of "All Creatures" did not appear until 1919, when Rev. William H. Draper used it for a worship festival in Leeds, England. The text of Assisi's hymn echoes the heartbeat of Psalm 148

The Solid Rock~Lyrics by Edward Mote, 1832
At the time of this hymn's writing, Edward Mote was a carpenter by trade. But in 1852, at age 55, he became the pastor of the Baptist Church in Horsham, Sussex, where he ministered 21yrs.
He writes: "One morning it came to me to write an hymn on the Gracious Experience of a Christian. As I went up Holborn I had the chorus, 'On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sad.' In the day I had four first verses complete, and wrote them off. On the Sabbath following I met brother King as I came out of Lisle Street Meeting , who informed me that his wife was very ill, and asked me to call and see her. He said that it was his usual custom to sing a hymn, read a portion, and engage in prayer, before he went to meeting. He looked for his hymnbook but could find it nowhere. I said, I have some verses in my pocket; if he liked, we would sing them. We did, and his wife enjoyed them so much, that after service he asked me, as a favor, to leave a copy of them for his wife. I went home, and by the firside composed the last two verses, wrote the whole off, and took them to sister King. As these verses so met the dying woman's case, my attention to them was the more arrested and I had a thousand printed for distribution." Edward Mote. Letter to the Gospel Herald

Phos Hilaron~Corporate Confession~ Anonymous 4th century~ Translated John Kebel, 1834
As early as the 4th century, the Phos Hilaron (Hail Gladdening Light) was already considered ancient, being a mainstay of evening prayers in a tradition known as the lighting of the lamps. At that time in Jerusalem, a candle was kept perpetually burning in the empty tomb of Christ, its glow a symbol of the living light of Jesus. As Christians gathered to worship, the candle was brought forth from the tomb, it's bright, solitary flame calling the church to celebrate the Rised Lord. Phos Hilaron literally means "hilarious light", especially meaningful given that this hymn was probably sung in the catacomba by the earliest Church.

Fairest Lord Jesus~
Lyrics anonymous, attributed to German Jesuits in the 17th Cen.
This hymn first appeared in a Jesuit Hymnbook titled, "Munster Gesangbuch" in 1677, but the text was in existence at least fifteen years earlier. Though found in a manuscript dating back to 1662, the origin of the words remains a mystery.

Take My Life~Lyrics by Frances R. Havergal, 1874
Frances Havergal, at age 36, received a book called, "All for Jesus", which stresses the importance of making Christ Lord over every dimension of one's life. ON Advent Sunday, Dec. 2, 1873, she saw the blessedness of consecration and made a full surrender of her all to Christ. Not long after she was visiting ten people in a house, of which she writes: "I went for a little visit of five days(to Areley House.) There were ten persons in the house, some unconverted and long prayed for, some converted, but not rejoicing Christians. He gave me the prayer, 'Lord, give me all in this house!' And He did just that. Before I left the house every one had got a blessing. The last night of my visit after I had retired, the governess asked me to go to the two daughters. They were crying; then and there both of them trusted and rejoiced; it was nearly midnight. I was too happy to sleep, and passed most of the night in praise and renewal of my own consecration; and these little couplets formed themselves, and chimed in my heart one after another till they finished wit h'Ever, Only ALL for Thee!'" Havergal Manuscripts.

Well, thats it! I hope you all found some interest in it? lol

God's Candy

While eating my apple today, with every bite I took, juice went streaming down my arm. Yes, it was very juicy which made it quite sticky, and messy. But, as I wiped the juice off my arm, I looked at my apple with earnest. And started thinking how amazing this apple that God had created was. Something so delicious and packed with so much nutrition; It's design, shape and form.
Then I started thinking about God's other 'candies', Oranges, Pears, Plumbs, Banana's you name it! How amazing and wonderful they are! Only God can create something so magnificent as just an apple. No one can duplicate or recreate something so wonderful. You can plant a seed, but it won't grow without God's help. Not in our wildest dreams. How great our God is!
The simplicity and beauty He has made. From the thought of any apple it led to vegetables, and creation in itself. None of this could possibly happen just "by chance".
It may seem like simple logic; But ever take a minute to think about these things? How the juice of an apple could take captive of my wandering thoughts. Healthy snack turned into deep thinking. Sometimes I just take things for granted without even thanking our heavenly father for, forgetting the one who made them.

Thank-You Jesus. <3

Sick ~ Try-outs ~ Narnia

So pretty much we all have sore throats. I didn't start feeling icky till Monday, but didn't think much of it until yesterday when around a bit after dinner I thought..hmmm. Making a doctor appt. in the morning and we'll see what my doc says. Its terrible. My nose burns all the time, my throat is so incredibly raw. I'm sure if you have ever had strep you know the feeling. (thats what i think I have anyways) *Edit* The test results came back negative. He(my doc.) said its viral. But, they are going to keep the throat sample alive to see if anything changes. So, we'll see. On the bright side, no meds for me other than (if needed) pain meds. :)

Yesterday (Tues.) We started piano and voice back up. I have got new books. Dif. composer(Alfred) and a little bit harder, but its all for the better. I think Ill get the hang of it in no time..hopefully. ;) When voice class started( for those of you who don't know what voice is, its basically singing lessons. ;)) my teacher had a whole bunch of new things to show us. Modified ear training, learning our 'do-rae-mes' so well that just seeing the hand motion we can simply sing it and hearing a note on the piano being able to sing it. It may not sound hard, its actually pretty basic. But it def. takes lots of ear training and is all kinda new. Anyways. Next month we have try outs to sing the national anthem for the Rattlers(Or I think anyways. lol) We have group, solo's and trio tryouts(of course, you can pick and choose). If we make it, we have greater potential for later tryouts. Excit'n.

The new Narnia(Voyage Of The Dawn Treader) is coming out in Dec. don't know bout you guys, but I'm pretty excited to see it. If you haven't seen the trailer for it here is a link. http://www.narnia.com/

So, thats my update. Its late and I have to get up early. We have a fun exciting visit with the awesome case worker in the morning. *half sarcasm*

Random Fact: Reading and learning new words is my 'hobby'. Learning what the words mean, so I can use them in a sentence! ;)

Failure To The Max

Ok ok! I would so totally not be posting an update right now..but! I have a video to share. If you can't handle pain, the sight of pain, or any of the other such, then leave the page now. ;)
First, the story behind this..
Yesterday while the little ones were napping I grabbed Micah and said "Get your shoes on, we're going for a walk!' Which he then replies, ok I'm taking my bike!" We made it to park and decided to sit for a minute then Micah says "you know what?! I'm going to jump my bike off this table" I said no Micah, you'll only hurt yourself "no no, itll be fine watch!" Ok, your only going to make a fool of yourself. So he puts his bike...well, here, watch the vid! (Oh, walk indeed!)

No worries he is fine. But, this video was fallowed by one hour of "I'm so stupid, what was I thinking!!?"
Oh, and the doctor told him squat, so we still don't know what is wrong with him. I hope you enjoyed this, feel free to laugh if you want. Its ok, mom did first thing she saw it!

Random fact : I like llamas....and sheep

Convention, Micah, Adoption

The convention went very well! Weather was absolutely perfect(well, on the first day anyways) speakers were good and even saw some old friends. The only thing I regret is walking so much, but I press on!

Second day, well second day started out good till Micah came running to my mom saying "mom! mom! I was taking a shower and all of the sudden couldn't see my hands" long story short, he went to the ER they tested him blood sugar below 20(which, is bad!!) and a complex migraine which can mimic a stroke which he thought he was having and he thought he would die, but he didn't. He has a doctor appt. tomorrow, he might be hypoglycemic which can lead to diabetes which again, isn't good. So, we'll see what they say!

Finally,(the wonderful news) the adoption finally took place, Madison, Jaden and Jeremy are now (legally) ours. Always have been, its just they finally decided to actually get it over with! haha
It happened so fast. We got there, were called we sat, then the lady person said "all rise" and just as we were lifting our butts off our seats the judge came in and said, thank you please be seated(so basically we didn't even stand up! haha) signed a few papers and wam bam! Somehow sitting there and going through it, and it being over with already seems like it never happened, but it did!! Praise God!!

Well, I only had a moment,so its time for me to go!

Random Fact: When I was 3 I fell into a fire pit. (well, it was just put out so the pit was still VERY hot) No joke.

God Bless
Amanda:)

What You Don't See...

*Please, no more comments on this post/topic. Thank-you.*
What happened to, men/boys opening doors for women, (or anyone) giving up their chairs when there is none if she wishes to sit, saying, "please, take my coat, and no longer suffer in this cold". what happened to the men running a business vs. the women. Oh, their at home cooking dinner?! silly boys. What happened to true gentlemen, where have they gone?! Of course it goes beyond saying, take my seat.
What happened to young ladies wanting to stay home and learn to cook and sew and do all the things they ought. Where are they? Hardly ever do you see a girl in a dress/skirt. I'm not against pants, wear them every so often myself. But, because her parents say so, not what she wants. Where are all the stay at home moms!? Oh, thats right, they sent their kids off to school so they could go have a 'paying job' of their own. What happened to the feminine role?! And, it goes beyond staying at home to cook and clean. Indeed.
Where are the children playing in the streets? The laughter, the joy! Oh, their playing their wiis and xbox360's?! Ok, its all good. Honestly, I'm pretty old fashioned. I like playing board games and things like that. Once in awhile Ill say ok, ok let me have a shot at this wii thing. But, hardly. When it comes down to techie stuff, Ill let others take care of it!
I often think, what if things never changed starting at..oh I don't know, 1850?! I don't think I would mind at all! Seriously! Sure sure, I like my hot running water, my electricity but, besides that. I think people could get by! They did before. ;) I'm not blaming Technology, but I think it plays a big part. Sin, I can blame the sin for woman wanting to take over office, and work in a tiny little booth and men wanting to stay at home and cook and do all the cleaning.
I'm old fashioned. Lets just face it. I mean, who doesn't like a hand written letter! I know I do! So, where is the womanly role, the chivalry and the manly role, the innocent child play!? Where did people put God's will?

Soo, I feel better, you know, after saying all that. haha I think I'll have to do some editing, but later!

Random Fact: I truly am old fashioned. If you haven't guessed yet.

God Bless
:)

Newish Feature

So, if you go down just a bit you will see a newish feature. Its called...dun dun dun.....a playlist! haha Anyways, it has music on it, mainly all my fave worship songs. Anyways if you wish, check it out. Tell me what you think. If you wish. And now when I do a new post I will state one random fact about myself. Why...I don't know(because I can?). haha

Update on Nate and dad, they are in NM and will arrive in about 8hrs or so. Pretty excited!

I have also to say that, on Tues. it was supposed to be our adoption day, but certain people didn't sign certain papers..so the absolute final date is the 27th. yay

Today, we were going to go do a photo shoot somewhere, but after taking one step out side we decided that it was just too humid and hot to do anything outside. So, hopefully another day! We need newer pics of the kids for the album. But, with all circumstances, we'll just wait a few days. lol

Now, I have a pounding headache so, I will.....be back in a few days! :)

:)
Random Fact: I bet you all didn't know this, I'ma sucker for the banjo. Yup!

Nathan

He is coming home!!!! Praise God he is leaving that horrible town. And I am so serious.

Everything that has happened is really personal so I won't be sharing it online. Or maybe not even at all. I'm just going to say that-

Please pray for Nate. Yesterday he went to WI and kinda toured the area a bit and decided to take a hike and then later went back to his Apt. and went to sleep later woke up to not being able to move his body whatsoever and was rushed to the ER.(Dehydration) He then left the hospital this morning to a cab to his house packed his things and ......
My dad is on a plane RIGHT now to go get Nate. He is at the air port there in Millagevill or whatever. Nate couldn't take it anymore. He loves her, but like I said I'm not sharing anything! (on here) So, when my dad gets there they will start their driving journey back home. Honestly, I'm excited to see my brother.
This chapter in his life-closed.

Cried my eyes out Sunday when they prayed for him. Cried almost everyday this week. I guess it just now hit me. But, he is coming home so yay!!!

Thank you all for your prayers.

Hope all is going well with everyone.

Amanda

New Chapter In His Life

Just said goodbye to Nate and dad. Said a prayer, said our goodbyes and hugged those last(for now) hugs and sent them on their way.
This is a new chapter in Nates life as he moves away to start his new job and get closer to Jayci's family and her and used to the place I guess you could say. And shortly in the future a family.
We did end up having a last minute family gathering for him. Ill post pics of that when I have time.
He wasn't supposed to leave till the 15th. But I guess this is just a part of Gods plan!

Prayers would be greatly appreciated as they are driving there.

Thanks!

And may everyone have a blessed Independence day! :)

Good News!!

I have good news!

To start, Mom and Nate are back. From what I heard their trip went really well.Very beautiful over there too. Maybe Ill post some pics. ;)

My good news..We(mom,dad) have been meeting with our adoption case worker quite a bit and planning dates for the official adoption day, it was originally supposed to be at the end of July, but we wanted a sooner one so Nate could be here when it happens before he moves to Ill. Soooo she gave us a ring, and the new(official official) date is the 13th of July!! Two days before Nate leaves. So yay, and praise the Lord!! We have been waiting almost 3years for this. Could have happened sooner, but you know CPS. they like to take forever on things.lol
So that is my good news. If you are/have been involved with cps, you know what I'm talking about. The wait is OVER! :)

Today is Jadens 4th birthday so in celebration we'll be throwing him a surprise party at PeterPiperPizza. I think he'll enjoy it a lot!
Hope everyone has a good week!

When your inner countenance is down, so shall your outter be.

Firstly, I would like to post some verses that help me on my way.

Proverbs 17:22 "A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a broken spirit saps a persons strength."

So many times I find myself not mad or angry or sad, just not in a good mood! And I can certainly tell you I don't like it at all! In turn my reaction to my sibling's general public etc. isn't so Christ like. I think, why am I like this?? I didn't used to be this way! hmmm. Its the self inside of me coming out. Heart check!

Eph. 6:7 "Serve whole-heartedly as if you were serving the Lord, not men because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for the good that he does".

I don't do things to see what I can get from it..but because I WANT to and I want to bless others. On the other hand, sometimes I really don't 'feel' like serving. Honestly, if I am doing what must be done without being told, I don't want to do it. Its like, If I was seriously going to do something, then someone says, go do that, I'm like NO! Forget it now. Of course, I don't say that, but in my heart, I do. Then, as soon as I was wrong, I remember the way I should have responded and only hope for a do-over! And have to remember, not "as if I was serving the Lord" because I AM serving the Lord! But if my heart is not in the right place, then what good is my serving?!

Eph. 5:1 "Be imitators of God, live a life of love just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God".

Be Imitators Of God...The verse says it all. It takes more than trying, its doing.

These things have been on my mind. Another is; the way the world looks upon us Christians.

I heard a story a few weeks ago about a lady who is a waitress(herself being a Christian) and was called in on a Sunday to go to work, tho she didn't want to because she would then, miss the morning service of Church.
Lunch rush came and to her section of the restaurant came a family and some friends in their 'Sunday best'. She then proceeded to set them in their seats and take their orders moving along as fast as she could to keep them pleased. Not once did she receive a please, a thank-you or anything of the such. Their food had come, someones order was slightly wrong, and the response the waitress got, was not a thank you but a "hey! Would you take this back and fix it!!" Not please, or even speaking kindly. She kept their drinks filled and un-annoyingly asked them now and again how things were, and she got, "Its ok" and even held the door open for them on their way out as they snipped on by.

What I am getting at is, is this how the world sees us Christians? They(the people) will know we are CHRISTIANS by our love. We are to be an example to others especially in this sinful world. Even in our own homes. Sometimes when we are out and about my response to others can be not so pretty. I'm speaking from self experience. Let me make clear I'm not always like this, but every once in awhile, I bubble over!

Treat others as you'd like to be treated. Love your neighbor as yourself. Remove yourself from un~Godly conversation. Turn the other cheek. Things that always come to my mind(and so on) when I am about to fall into that foot hold!

Now that I have rambled on and on for 400hrs.

God Bless,
Mandie:)

Let Us Bake!!! Brownies. :)

Ok, so at costco they have these brownies, and they are just a tad different from your "average" brownie. They are in 'cup-cake' form, and have butter cream frosting on top. (nice and swirly too!)Usually, I say leave the brownie alone, it needs nothing but itself to make it as good as it is, but these looked like they would be really good! So, I thought, hey I bake..a lot and I have everything a caterer needs to do such a thing so instead of buying these, Ill just make them....How did they turn out wellll....lets just say, I needed a: different brownie recipe, I needed to make my frosting thicker too, and I needed a thicker pastry tip..My biggest one, is too small. And it really isn't that big to begin with! haha I made your regular size 'cup cake' brownie, then I made a mini one. The mini's definitely turned out so much better! Easier to get out of the pan without falling apart!(even after they cooled down for an hour and a half!!)

Yes, that is a hole in the mix(its helps combine everything..makes it easier:))

All mixed up! :)

Mini's... :)

And the 'normal ones...'
I didn't get any pics with the frosting on them, by the time I was done I was too tired(I like to bake late...well, I always end up being done late anyways. hehe) to think about pics and was ready for bed!! And well, yeah.
Anyways..thought I'd share my brownie experience!!! :)

Amanda:)
P.S. I have no idea why its all jumbled up like that, tried fixing it..but nothings working soo... :)

Day Out With Mom

Its not often that my mom and I get to spend one on one time with each other, so yesterday was a treat. :) We started off by going out for some lunch. Now, we did only go to Chick-fil-a, but their food is pretty good, so we didn't mind! Then, we went and saw a movie. Usually, we don't go see movies because with the world and its ways and the movies they make these days, it can be a disaster! But, there is a movie out(pg) called Letters To Juliet-Best love story ever!! If your a sucker for love stories like my mom and I, its worth looking into! Very wholesome very sweet. There is only one thing we didn't agree with. Ill get to that in a minute. So, the movie (I'm not going to spoil it, just incase.;)) is about this girl, and her fiance' that go to Italy for a "pree honeymoon" (thats the one thing we did not agree with, fornication) I copied the story description from the official website..I hope thats ok-I really don't feel like explaining it! haha

Letters To Juliet is an enchanting love story -- a tale of encountering new sparks and rekindling old flames. When Sophie , a young American, travels to Verona, Italy -- the romantic city where Romeo first met Juliet -- she meets a group of volunteers who respond to letters written to Juliet seeking romantic advice. Sophie finds and answers a letter that has been lost for 50 years, and is stunned when its author Claire arrives in Italy with her handsome but overprotective grandson to find the fiance she left decades before. Fascinated by Claire's quest, Sophie joins them on an adventure through the beautiful hills of Tuscany searching for Claire's long lost Lorenzo. The journey will change their lives forever, as they discover it's never too late to find true love.

I would have made it more detailed if I were the writer, but oh well! haha So, if you like love stories, this is a good watch! And its a clean movie. :)

One thing we were so angered about is the commercials before the movie(duh, secular sinful world!! ) Everyone of them was filled with witchcraft and immorality. I just continued to txt my friend. Not to say that it was my intention to ignore it, but they wouldn't do anything about it I doubt if I did say anything! What do you think? They would probably think I was crazy since, Twilight and (honestly, I can't remember the other movies.) all that other junk is the 'cool thing' these days!!

Anyways, the movie was very good!
After the movie we went to Yogurtland, wow! Best frozen yogurt ever, and its self serve, and you get toppings. :) All in all, it was a good day. I'm so blessed to have a mom to share and bond with! Not saying we can't bond without going out, but its nice to "get away" :)
So, thats what we did for our 'holiday' and it was very good.

and today is 'Wear A Dress Day' so I suggest that if your a guy, you wear a kilt! ;)

God Bless
Amanda:)

Voice Recital

It was a success!! :)
On Monday we had early rehearsals for solo's then evening rehearsals for the group #.
Solo rehearsal went really well!! The evening one..not so much. My voice teachers husband(Bruce) made us sing the song(Let It Be) at least 15 times! And thank the lord he did!! lol Monday night after rehearsals I went home with Em...on the way to her house we stopped at Circle K(yes, I am going to share a story, I have to its purrrty funny) and when I went to get out of the van, (I was wearing my one pare of sandals I never wear 'cause they are very slippery) I stepped into the rocks descending into the rocks flat on my bottom!! I thought I might have bruises or scratches on my foot but I didn't, so that was good. It hurt a little, but after about an hour it was fine. I was laughing so hard! haha Luckily, no one saw! Then, on the way out, Em told me to grab some donuts and so before I grabbed them I called her a fatty(its ok, she is my bff I can do that) and when I did your "bro-type-of-guy" walks in tries to walk over the "wet Floor" sign and knocks it over, right as I called Em a fatty, on his way out he asked me if I was calling him a fatty..."Did you call me a fatty?" Whaa" "Someone, one of you called me a fatty" "Uuum no, I was calling her a fatty 'cause she wanted donuts" "Oh,...*awkward silence*" haha What a goof! Got to Ems house and we sang the night away(didn't go to bed till 12, yes our voices are sore!!).We were all really tired. Ryan tried telling a joke, and because he was so tired he wasn't explaining it correctly and got mad at us for not understanding! haha

Tues we woke up at 9 took our showers sang lots more..then a little treat, Em's mom has a friend that does hair, so we went and got our hair professionally done for FREE! How cool is that.
Got to the church really early. We thought we were going to be late. But, we weren't! The boy's of the band looked really handsome. And they sounded great!
Some of the girls that sang, oh I was just baffled! There was a young lady that sang "your hands" by JJ Heller, I just love that song!! Delaine keith sang What Do I Know OF Holy by addison road, accompanied by Cam. She sounded great!
Here is the Let It Be video

And My solo, I had to come home and record it because the performance video I look like one big white blob! Not enjoyable! lol

Enjoy!

Graduation/Grad party

Well well well, here I am writing up another post! ;)

Last night was Cameron and Delaine Keiths graduation. Along with my friend Seth's too.(same graduation, same place) The ceremony was, long very intelligent;) and nice! It really was. I enjoyed seeing all the different faces. You should have heard some of the screams. I think there was one lady whos scream lasted for like 2mins! I am not even kidding. It was pretty insane. And there were blow horns(which they weren't supposed to use, but people still did) that were insanely loud!! I guess that just means some kids, are REALLY loved! haha my mom slept through like, half the thing, but hey thats ok I guess!! She kept asking, did they show the Keiths yet..what about Seth, did his face flash yet. Oh mommy, you shoulda taken a nap! jk

After it was all done me and my mom rushed outta there(it was just me mom zach and nate..even tho nate was too busy talking on the phone..in the CAR) Don't know what happened to Zach, but while we were standing there we watched all the graduates come out two by two..looking for our dear friends. Said hi, congratulated hugged then let them go! haha

After that we went to the Keiths house for their party. Wow! Lots of Fun!! So much fun we didn't leave till 2:30..am. (Yep , we closed their party out! haha) I was so tired when I got home I didn't even wash my face just brushed my teeth. I'm surprised I am even up. I didn't get any pics..but it was a very much needed time of fellowship spent with old friends that we just don't see much anymore!!

Hoping to graduate next year myself. We'll see how things go. ;)

This Tues. is my recital. I'm excited, nervous and..a little unsure all at the same time. Just praying we all do well! Ill share pics, and maybe even the video if I do well. hehe Ill def. Share the video of the group number!! :)

Better get a move on!

Don't Wanna Let Her Go.

Hey, Everyone!

I have a huge prayer request. Many of(actually, I think all of you know) you know that we do foster care. Well, our youngest one (I can't give out names or anything like that over open content such as thus, so lets just put it this way, she is one, absolutely adorably chunky-monkey sweet stuff baby girl) has a high possibility of going BACK to her birth giver (we don't like to call her 'mom, mom' we provide for her, raise her and love her, her birth giver, not so much lol). We have one month to see how things go. Basically there will be people living with BM to make sure she doesn't get into any 'trouble' and that the environment is clean, and she can provide for her. Ha! Good luck. Now, we don't want to pray harm over anyone, that would be terrible. But, maybe could you guys just please pray that something happens that will prevent my precious baby-cakes from going back to that horrible lady!?

This sounds selfish, I know(or maybe not) but if she goes back, it will tare my heart out and rip it up in pieces! We are all she knows! Not only will it seem like she is dead to us, but she will grieve too. She isn't too young to grieve. she will know. Not only that. She will grow up not knowing what purity is, she'll be into drugs more than likely be living on the street and God knows what else!! I am pretty depressed. I love her to pieces, I don't wanna let her go!!!!

Anyways, could you all just please pray she doesn't have to go back!? I know we want Gods will to be done too, but we love her to pieces and would be so so so sad if she has to leave.

Thanks. :)

I better go.

God Bless
Amanda

In Sickness and In Health~Business

Lately we have been bouncing between being sick, and not sick. One day feeling totally fine, the next down for the count! On Fri. Mom wasn't feeling 100% and some of the little's were still sick(with the flu) but, some friends of ours persisted in coming over. Now, I love my friend-and her family. But sometimes they can just go over board. I don't wanna say too much, but lets just say when they left we had four days worth of house work to do! *sigh* Anyways...that day I also had voice rehearsals. They went pretty well. There are some parts in my song that I really need to work on, but practice makes better than before! :)

On Saturday, we were all feeling really well. So we went to the AZCA appreciation day at the zoo. It was pretty warm. But, nice too. It was really crowded. There musta been at least 10dif associations there. From gymnasts to the AZCA! First thing we did when we got in was go get food! (Even tho it was only 11am:)) After we got food we went to see if there was sitting space at the pavilion, luckily when we got there there was a family getting up with just enough seats for us and the Kirkpatricks. It was nice to just sit and enjoy the lunch, until they started blaring the most worldly sexual music out there! There were little gymnasts there that were really cute flipping around, until they started dancing not so, um....I can't think right now. Still waking up, but the dance was, OH! Provocative. And these little girls were only like, 4-maybe 14. Yeah. After we ate we went and did hand prints. Then made our way over to the water cave. I was so tempted to go get wet! But instead just stood in the shade. I felt bad for Mr. Tyler who just stood in a corner while Nathan went off talking on the phone for hours with *cough* a special someone.....of course, I sorta did the same, stood in a corner silenced! haha Usually I take lots of pics, but I think this time I only took like, 10maybe.

Mothers day, I felt bad because it WAS MD and I usually try to do a lot for my mom but on Sunday I slept alllll day, I was too weak to even lift a pen. So, I plan on doing something special for her. :) And doing something for the two birthday kiddos in the house, M turned 5 and J turned 2 over the weekend! :)

Well, I better go I have a lot of cleaning, singing and piano playing to get done! :)

Hope everyone is well!

Accelerated Classes~ All Organized

I've been dreading Tuesdays lately cause I cant find my books!! My, piano books that is. Someone packed 'em away and they seem to be lost. But! My teacher never fails to have an extra set laying around! Anyways, to the title. Today in class She(My teacher, Lori) told me that she is holding a class for the month of June for accelerated students and asked me to attend. This class is to learn chords how to construct your own arrangements and what not. I think it would be fun to attend! And now that I only live 20mins away, I'm seriously considering it. But, before then, I seriously need to find a 88key-keyboard. I had found one for only $149 in perfect condition but the person never replied so, I take it as they sold it. ;) So if y'all know anyone, or something selling one for 100-200-250ish Please, let me know! My upright is of no good use anymore. :/ Thanks. :)

Finally all organized. Got my bed made(even tho I hate my bed 'cause its the most uncomfortable thing ever, it makes the room!), got the loft in order, now just gotta let the boys do their jobs by getting their things in place!! yay!!!
Oh, really quick, for those of you who know, our adoption should be final in Aug.!! yaay!! :))

All Moved In ~ Hiking

Praise God! We are finally all moved in. :) Almost all done unpacking still quite a bit more to go though.
I said I would post the differences. Before I go on, I just want to say that these are differences I will and can live without, I was just spoiled for two years! haha
Here they are:
There is no water softener. So our water is hard water which tends to make your skin really dry! Pound on that lotion! ;)
There are absolutely NO light fixtures in the bedrooms. Isn't that crazy? But I think I can live with a stand up fan/light. Also that means no lights in there either.
The walls, the curving of the walls are not rounded..thats just so not us! No big deal tho its just something we are used to.
There are two lofts instead of one, so we're gonna have to do something for a "door" for Micah's Room.
Yes, these are just a few of the differences that I thought I couldn't live without, I changed my mind! ;)
The owners are really nice tho! So thats a plus. The last owners we had to deal with, were kind of, nosy in a way.
We have a balcony...oohh! haha

Yesterday we went hiking with the Kirkpatrick's and their friend that are staying with them from out-of-town. Lots of fun. We took the waterfall trail, when we got to the waterfall Micah, Josh and Zane decided to take a foot dip in. Hope none of them get sick! On our way back down there was a rattle snake that decided to cross the path and we decided it was best to kill it for ours, and others safety. There was a crazy earth lady that got mad at us for doing so.
ah here is a pic of the boys killing it, you can't see the snake tho, its in the bush...

Nate was going to kill it with his gun, but with so many little's and rocks all over not a good idea.
After hiking, we went back to the house dropped a few off then Nate Zac, Micah Josh Joah, Sadie, Me and the Ringers went to the mall. Oh we had loads of fun! Took lots of pics, Ash spent most of her time in Tinkerbell! That place is so fun and cute! Wanted to hang longer but it was moms Birthday yesterday so came home had a yummy dinner and cake! Bought my mom a candle(she likes candles.;)) So it was a very fun beautiful day, ended with rain!

Finally back to piano and voice lessons. I'm in trap! I have a voice recital coming up in just one month that my teacher JUST told us about(she changed it from June, to May. nice;)) so I need a Fun, quirky (clean) song..any suggestions and Ill love you foreverrr!!! haha

Ill update some other time this post is long enough and I gotta run!
Hope you all have a very blessed weekend!
